Today was a restful day at sea and thanks to me no longer taking the malerone, I felt worlds better. The waves were higher than they ever had been, about 2m, so Dave was feeling a bit sea sick and got some pills down in the shop. Laying down seemed to improve things so we laid in the sun for a few hours. I’m not sure how he managed to lay there under the hot sun with all of his clothes on plus a towel over his middle, but he did it until I couldn’t take the heat anymore. We went inside to experience our first proper lunch onboard the ship – fancy time!
Buffet lunch did not disappoint and we had salads, homemade pasta (all pasta is made onboard the ship), and tuna rolls. It was an awesome lunch and the pasta was no doubt the best part. After lunch we laid outside again, this time in the shade, until we realized that we should just go take a nap in the comfort of our own cabin and with air-conditioning. We managed to sleep for 3+ hours and woke up just after trivia had started – whoops. We cuddled in bed for a little bit and then decided to get ready for dinner. Dinner wasn’t all that exciting tonight so we ordered off of the “always” menu, which is pretty damn good. Caesar salad, penne with red sauce and filet with peppercorn sauce. It was awesome. I had this chocolate lovers mousse that was a layered pyramid of 3 different chocolate mousses (?) – awesome. We finished the night by Dave picking up some motion sickness bands in the ship that he now proudly displays on both wrists. He looks like a rock star.
